Weather the Economic Storm - With a Christian Home Business

When people think about income stability, many seem to immediately talk about a full time job. While this “conventional wisdom” was probably true for our great great grandparents, the reality just isn’t what it used to be. More and more, large corporations view their employees as just another commodity to be bought and sold, or more to the point: hired and laid-off. It is all too clear that the layoff part will be at the least opportune moment for finding a new job. After all, if the economy was doing well, they wouldn’t be as likely to be laying off anyone.
A business that your run for yourself is just the opposite. You can’t get fired. After all, YOU are the boss. And if you see economic problems coming on the horizon, you will be taking steps to tune your business to meet the oncoming challenges. A huge corporation is much slower to react.
Other things provide an important edge too. As a home based business person, you have some of the lowest overhead of any business. So when it comes to getting that sale, (or whatever drives your particular business) there will be few who can match your price. And when it comes to customer loyalty, who do you think will win: a nameless faceless corporation that doesn’t know what their customers really are caring about this particular minute… or the small business person who knows their customers personally, and provides for their every need.
